You, with your open heart,
feeling the splash of
raindrops
that slip past your umbrella smile
and
spill into the hurt,
remember this–
Rain
is
an Act
of
Kindness.
Humans walk, run, busy themselves, all while carrying their wounds with them– recognized or not, acknowledged or ignored.
We may be still, wondering what to do, how to feel, what to heal, where to go, how to move.
Or maybe, we numb ourselves from it all, to avoid the hurt and the remembering.
The truth is, and I believe it so ferociously that I'd even say it out loud: the only way to truly live is to experience the wounds. Not as if you are being struck again, and again, more that you observe the pain as water flows through the rocks on a river. Feelings are feelings and thoughts are thoughts and today, this moment, (which is the only moment you have), you are here. And here is alive with... It is alive.
The rain, when it comes, is a gift. Feeling is the only way. Let the feeling be the bendable light that sneaks into all the corners of your day.
